We dine underwater. We bequeath the moat.
We defend the dissonance that keeps us afloat.
We defeat the martyr. We defend the truth when truth is nothing but suit.

We must serve the purpose, despite what they can't prove.
We glorify the circus, but else can we do?

We don't deserve your pennies, yet we receive the most.
Enchanted by the glow reflected off the shit we throw.
We relieve the front line. They retreat but understand we'll cover their loss.
We complete the circle, baby. We compile the fruit.
The aftermath is funny because you're not there to dispute.
So we cry: Victory is futile.
Why believe in tension, terror, indifferent discourse?

We must serve the purpose, despite what they can't prove.
